Sculpture Fabrication
I have decades of experience turning great ideas into three-dimensional works of art that can be purely decorative or combine form and function. Sculpture fabrication can involve welding, cutting, fusing, molding, and/or assembling elements into sculptures, statues, multi-media works, or art installations. I use various materials, including wood, metal, glass, plastics, ceramics, textiles, stone, and composite materials.
Sculpture fabrication projects follow a similar process as custom furniture design and fine art services commissions. After discussing and understanding your needs, I create potential designs and mock-ups, refine the design with feedback, select materials, order parts, craft the product, and install it as needed. The timeline of a sculpture fabrication project varies based on its complexity and the availability of materials.
I've spent decades creating and fabricating sculptures for museums (including the Guggenheim Museum, Museum of Arts and Design, Jewish Museum, MoMA PS1, National Academy Museum, and more) and at Humanities Texas (the Texas affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities) as their Exhibitions & Facilities Specialist. In this role, I designed, fabricated, repaired, and shipped nationally traveling exhibitions and maintained the institution’s renovated historic headquarters.
