I have been producing furniture and fine art for residential and commercial clients since 1991, with an emphasis on sustainable materials and building practices. My interest in design took root during and after my years as a fine arts student at The University of Texas at Austin, and after graduating from the MFA program at Parsons School of Design.
As my focus shifted from fine art to furniture, I began freelancing as a carpenter and fine art specialist for numerous museums and galleries, including the The Guggenheim, The Jewish Museum, and PS1/MOMA. I was also a founding partner for a general contracting company in the New York City area, which specialized in designing and fabricating built-in cabinets and furniture for a variety of unique NYC apartments. The challenges of accommodating diverse spaces in the unique and multi-dimensional places in New York helped hone the artistry and craftsmanship that define my work today.
In 2003, big skies and new opportunities brought me back to my home state.
