Since 1998, I have specialized in designing and producing furniture and fine art for residential and commercial clients, utilizing sustainable materials and building practices. My interest in design took root during and after my years as a fine arts student at The University of Texas at Austin, where I received a BA in Studio Art.
In 1997, I moved to New York City to further my studies at Parsons The New School for Design, where I received a Masters of Fine Arts. With a growing interest in furniture design, I began designing and building custom furniture for clients throughout the New York City area. In addition, I worked with numerous museums and galleries, including the Jewish Museum, PS1/MOMA, and The Guggenheim to design and build installations and art spaces for a number of exhibitions. The challenges of accommodating diverse exhibitions in the unique and multi-dimensional spaces of art museums helped hone the artistry and craftsmanship that define my work.
In 2003, big skies and new opportunities brought me back to Texas.
